This cake, Runebergintorttu, or Runeberg torte, 

which is mainly enjoyed in Finland, 

is named after the Finnish poet Johan 

Ludvig Runeberg. It was first created by 

his wife. He regularly ate it! This cylindrical pastry 

is made with almonds, breadcrumbs, and 

flavored with rum or arrack, typically 

topped with raspberry jam and icing.
